Salami and Roasted Ham Stromboli with Ricotta and Mozzarella
INGREDIENTS
- 1 pizza dough (homemade or store-bought) 
- 100g sliced salami 
- 100g sliced roasted ham 
- 150g ricotta cheese 
- 150g shredded mozzarella 
- 1 egg (for egg wash) 
- Olive oil 
- Dried oregano 
- Salt and pepper (to taste) 
PREPARATION
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). 
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle. 
- Spread the ricotta evenly over the dough, leaving about 2 cm of space around the edges. 
- Arrange the salami and roasted ham slices over the ricotta. 
- Generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the meat. 
- Season with a bit of dried oregano, salt, and pepper. 
- Roll the dough tightly from one of the longer sides to form a log. 
- Place the Stromboli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, seam side down. 
- In a small bowl, beat the egg and add a tablespoon of water. Gently brush the top of the Stromboli with this egg wash to give it a beautiful golden color when baked. 
- Bake the Stromboli in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until it's well golden and crispy. 
- Once baked, remove the Stromboli from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing into pieces. 
- Serve it hot with a green salad or marinara sauce for dipping.
