Tomato and Mozzarella Carpaccio with Balsamic Vinaigrette
INGREDIENTS
- 4 large ripe tomatoes 
- 2 mozzarella balls 
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, finely chopped 
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste 
PREPARATION
- Prepare the Tomatoes and Mozzarella: Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into thin rounds and arrange them alternately on a large serving platter. 
- Prepare the Vinaigrette: In a small bowl, mix the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper. 
- Assemble the Salad: Drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette over the tomato and mozzarella slices. Sprinkle with freshly chopped basil. 
- Serve: Let it sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld, then serve as an appetizer or a side dish. Enjoy!
