Tomato and Mozzarella Carpaccio with Balsamic Vinaigrette

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 large ripe tomatoes

  • 2 mozzarella balls

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, finely chopped

  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

PREPARATION

  1. Prepare the Tomatoes and Mozzarella: Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into thin rounds and arrange them alternately on a large serving platter.

  2. Prepare the Vinaigrette: In a small bowl, mix the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  3. Assemble the Salad: Drizzle the balsamic vinaigrette over the tomato and mozzarella slices. Sprinkle with freshly chopped basil.
